Katy Herbert Kotlarczyk is the Department Head and Senior Director of Gift Planning and Leadership Giving at the University of Colorado. Katy oversees the gift planning team that supports four University of Colorado campuses (Anschutz Medical Campus, Boulder, Colorado Springs, and Denver) as they work with development officers and supporters to secure complex, unique, or long-term gifts. Katy's previous experience includes serving as a front-line major gifts officer, a volunteer manager, and a fundraising and strategy consultant for nonprofit organizations.

Katy is currently a board member for the Colorado Planned Giving Roundtable and the Rocky Mountain Stanford Association. She completed her MBA at the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University, as well as a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University. She has both an undergraduate and Master's degree from Stanford University, where she served as captain of the women's gymnastics team and earned All-American honors on the balance beam. Originally from Arizona, Katy now enjoys living the Colorado lifestyle with her family, including her husband, Mike, and their three children, Owen, Andrew, and Avery.
