Micah Malouf is Associate University Counsel at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His practice focuses on gifts, trusts and estates, endowments, investments, real estate and tax matters. He also serves as a liaison between the University and its related and affiliated foundations on legal and policy issues Prior to joining Carolina, Mr. Malouf was a Senior Associate of the Complex Asset Group at Fidelity Charitable®, an independent public charity and donor-advised fund sponsor. In this role he worked directly with donors, their advisors, and corporate and business lawyers to facilitate the charitable contribution of non-publicly traded assets to achieve the most favorable tax treatment with the greatest charitable impact. Prior to joining Fidelity Charitable, Mr. Malouf was General Counsel for the Office of Institutional Advancement at the Texas Tech University System and Texas Tech Foundation, Inc.
Mr. Malouf received a bachelor of business administration degree in finance and economics from the Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration at Texas Tech University and a juris doctorate from Texas Tech University School of Law. He is also a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Triangle North Carolina Chapter.
