Major gifts are much more than money given to an organization. They represent an investment by a donor who wants to make a difference. The new philanthropist wants to see impact, they want outcomes and they want us to be accountable for their gift. As fundraisers we need to cultivate and solicit donors in a way that appeals to their needs. The donor centered or donor focused idea of moves management will be discussed with an eye toward developing strategies that will work for you to close major gifts that are meaningful and lasting for your donors. We'll also review metrics and some suggestions for moves that will be most beneficial to the cultivation process.

This session will discuss how to incorporate blended gifts in major and planned giving asks and understanding the opportunities when blended gift discussions are incorporated into all donor gift strategies.
