- Territorial Planned Giving Director, The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory
Peter serves as the Territorial Planned Giving Director for The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory. He provides oversight and support to 34 Planned Giving Directors serving in nine Divisions across 15 states and Washington, DC. Throughout the territory, the Planned Giving staff help donors and their professional advisors to craft charitable strategies for giving that both maximize economic benefits and help further aid to those in need. Peter has served in the Planned Giving field for over 29 years.
Prior to The Salvation Army Peter served as Senior Director for Distinguished Giving Resources (supporting 100 major and planned giving staff) at the American Cancer Society National Home Office. He served as the Vice President for Gift Planning in the American Cancer Society, Florida Division prior to that.
Peter is a current member of the National Board of Directors for the American Council on Gift Annuities (ACGA), the Board of Directors for the Georgia Planned Giving Council (GPGC), and the Board of One Hundred Days, a non-profit organization working to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of children in the country of Rwanda. Peter is a past member of the National Board of Directors for the Partnership for Philanthropy Planning (now the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners), Past President of the Tampa Bay Area Planned Giving Council and past President of the Georgia Planned Giving Council. Peter graduated from Florida State University with a degree in International Affairs with emphasis in Economics and Finance. He resides in Peachtree Corners with his wife and two children.
