JoVanna J. King is the Senior Associate Vice President for Development at Clemson University, where she is responsible for Principal Gifts and Gift & Estate Planning. She has over thirty-four (34) years of leadership experience in planned giving, development, major gift and principal gift fundraising, management operations and campaign planning; twenty-nine(29) of which she gained at Clemson University. Mrs. King started her development career with Anderson College where she served as the Director of Alumni and Development from 1983-1988. Mrs. King has served as a fund-raising consultant for various organizations and has lectured on a variety of fund-raising and advancement topics throughout the country.
She is a past-president of the South Carolina Planned Giving Council, and currently serves on various boards and committees in the Anderson community. In 2006, Mrs. King was honored with the Clemson University Thomas Green Clemson Award for Excellence, recognizing outstanding faculty and staff who have made significant contributions to academic life at the University. Most recently, the Clemson Alumni Association named Mrs. King an Honorary Alumnus of Clemson University. In 2016, Clemson successfully completed the $1Billion Will To Lead Capital Campaign.
